Components of a Home Inspection

There are many areas the home inspector focuses on during a home inspection.    A typical home inspection will take  2-3 hours.  The certified home inspector takes his time to thoroughly check all components of a home.

Valley Home Inspectors prefers  the client be present during the home inspection process.  The inspectors  like to educate the client about the home and answer any questions they may have.    They will provide a detailed inspection report that is often times 20+  pages.    It is highly recommended the client read the entire inspection report.

There are several main components to a home inspection.  These components include the exterior, interior, structural,  heating, plumbing, electrical and roofing inspection.    Each of these areas is broken down into subcategories in the home inspection report so they can be easily understood.

Click on each component under the  "Components of  home inspection tab" to view  in detail  the areas the home inspector is focusing on during the home inspection process.
